Overview

The Global dashboard aggregates data from every module in real time to give an instant read on the company's health. It cross-references business activity (revenue, expenses) and stock status (valuation, alerts) on a single screen, with a direct comparison between the current year (N) and the previous year (N-1).

Objective

  • Measure revenue growth N vs N-1
  • Monitor the level of expenses
  • Spot shortages & defective returns
  • Anticipate expiry alerts

Target audience

  • Executives — 360° oversight
  • General management — strategic decisions
  • Finance — revenue vs expenses

Starting point for oversight

Current-year revenueCumulative revenue for the current year, based on delivery notes.
Previous-year revenueSame cumulative total for year N-1, for a direct comparison.
GrowthPercentage progression of revenue N compared to N-1.
Current-year expensesCumulative expenses (purchases) for the current year.
4

Growth & overall health

The growth figure measures the relative gap between the two years; the overall health gauge summarizes how well annual targets are met in a single visual indicator.

Overall healthGood

Achievement of annual targets (actual vs target).

Positive growth — revenue is increasing compared to N-1. A favorable signal to track over time.

Revenue vs expenses — the gap between revenue and expenses gives a first read on the company's overall margin.

5

Integrated stock indicators

The Global dashboard includes 4 strategic stock KPIs from the Stock module: stock value, items in shortage / below threshold, valued defective returns and expiry alerts.

Tip — hover over a bar to display the exact value for the month and compare N vs N-1 at a glance.

7

8

Period & recalculation

The Search button opens a filter window for a date range. All KPIs and charts recalculate on confirmation.

Recalculation can take a few seconds on a large database; each block is protected so that missing data does not prevent the rest from displaying.

9

Calculation rules

Revenue based on delivery notes — consolidated revenue relies on the delivery notes delivered during the period.

Stock value — sum of valued stock lines; defective returns are valued at the ex-works price.

Growth — calculated as the relative gap (Revenue N − Revenue N-1) / Revenue N-1, expressed as a percentage.

Expiry = advanced stock — expiry alerts only exist under batch / expiry-date management; in simple mode, the card is hidden (as expected).

10

FAQ & Tips

Revenue N-1 is at zero?

There are probably no delivery notes recorded for the previous year — the comparison will display as soon as history exists.

The "Expiry alerts" card doesn't appear?

It is reserved for advanced stock (batch / expiry date). In simple mode, it is deliberately hidden.

Tip — management routine

Open the Global dashboard in the morning, spot the alerts (shortage, expiry, growth), then head to the relevant module's dashboard to act.
