Manual Stock levels

A stock is a logical container of item quantities: central warehouse, a field seller's stock, POS register… Each stock has a label, a type, a nature (goods receipt/purchasing or sales) and a last updated date. Its lines (item, quantity, minimum threshold, unit price) are adjusted by every movement in the ERP.

Left-hand side menu: Stock → Stock levels.

At the top, the page displays four summary cards (stocks in shortfall, items in shortfall, out of stock, almost depleted), then the company's list of stocks.

List columns

The detail lists the stock lines: item, quantity, minimum threshold, unit price and, depending on the mode, the batch number and the expiry date. The alert level is calculated relative to the threshold.

Click New. Fill in the label, choose the type (seller, location, POS register) and the management mode, then save.

Stock types

Each stock has one and only one mode, determined by two flags: batch management and expiry date management. The mode governs the allocation screens (batches / expiry dates) for transfers, issues and returns.

Each stock line carries a minimum threshold. When a sale, transfer or issue brings the quantity below this threshold, Swifto raises an alert that surfaces in the summary cards and in the Stock dashboard.

A stock level lives at the pace of movements: it rises on receipts, falls on issues, and switches to alert when it crosses the threshold.
