Prices by customer / seller

Beyond the base prices on the item record, Swifto manages specific tariffs: a negotiated price for a given customer, or a price dedicated to a seller. These grids take precedence over the standard prices at the time of sale. Currency: TND, 3 decimals.

Overview

Customer prices and seller prices let you set, item by item, an applied price different from the base price. The system displays the initial price (customer price or reseller price depending on the party's type) as a reference, then you enter the negotiated price. At the time of sale, the specific tariff automatically replaces the standard price.

Price by customer

Negotiated tariff automatically applied when an item is sold to this customer.

Price by seller

Tariff attached to a seller (e.g. field seller), used for their sales.

Link with the item record

The reference initial price comes from the item record (customer price or reseller price). Specific tariffs are based on it but override it at the time of sale.

Customer price grid

Select a customer: the grid lists the items priced for them, with the initial price (reference) and the applied price (negotiated). A dot indicates whether the row is active.

Add a customer price

After choosing the customer, click New in the Details block. Choose the category then the item: the initial price is displayed; enter the applied price and confirm.

The initial price displayed depends on the customer's type: customer price for a standard customer, reseller price for a reseller. The item's measurement type can be adjusted when editing the row.

5

Seller price grid

Symmetrical to the customer grid: select a seller and the grid lists their priced items, with initial price and applied price. Useful for field sellers with their own terms.

6

Add a seller price

Select the seller, add a row, choose the item, check the initial price and enter the applied price. Operation is identical to the customer grid (section 4).

In multi-domain, first select the domain: it restricts the list of sellers and items offered.

7

Tariff priority

At the time of sale, Swifto looks for the most specific applicable price. The indicative resolution order:

1

Price by customer

If an active row exists for this customer + item.

2

Price by seller

Tariff attached to the seller making the sale.

3

Item's base price

Customer / reseller / consumer price from the record, by default.

The exact order depends on your company's configuration. If in doubt, open the sale line: the applied price and its origin are visible.

8

Activate / deactivate

Each tariff row carries an Activate / Deactivate status. A deactivated row is kept (history) but is no longer applied at the time of sale — handy for suspending a discount without losing it.

Active

Green dot: the applied price takes precedence over the base price.

Inactive

Red dot: the sale falls back to the base price.

Business rules

Priority — an active specific tariff (customer then seller) replaces the item's base price at the time of sale.

Initial price = reference — it is read from the item record (customer or reseller price depending on the party's type) and is not modified by the grid.

Reversible deactivation — deactivating a row suspends its effect without deleting it; reactivating it re-applies it immediately.

Applied price mandatory — the applied price is required and must be consistent with your commercial policy (the ex-works price floor remains recommended).

FAQ & Tips

The negotiated price doesn't apply?

Check that the row is active (green dot) and that it does target this customer / seller + this item.

Both a customer and a seller have a price?

The customer price generally takes priority. Refer to section 7 and your company's configuration.

Tip — keep the history

Rather than deleting an expired discount, deactivate it: you keep track of the agreement and can reactivate it if needed.
